Description / Lounging Leopard Greetings Card: Wildlife Photographer of the Year 54
'Hello', 'I miss you', 'Bon voyage' - tell someone they're in your thoughts with this restful image by Skye Meaker from the fifty-fourth Wildlife Photographer of the Year, announced in 2018.
Skye regularly visits Botswana Mashatu Game Reserve, always hoping to see leopards, though they are notoriously elusive. One day he found this female leopard sleeping just metres away. She opened her eyes for a second, just as the overhead branches moved enough to let in a shaft of light. Then she slept again.
The Wildlife Photographer of the Year is the Museum's annual competition and exhibition that highlights the world's best nature imagery, with the hope of inspiring observers to become advocates for the planet.
Printed in the UK, the card and envelope are made from materials certified as sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council and come wrapped in a recycled paper band.
