Werner’s Tote Bag

Spread the right tone everywhere you go while carrying this colourful, organic cotton shopping bag.

The swatch chart, which features on one side of the cream bag, is based on those found in Patrick Syme’s beautifully illustrated book Werner’s Nomenclature of Colours. First published in 1814, it was used by artists and naturalists, including Charles Darwin, to describe wildlife in a consistent way before the advent of photography.

The chart begins with No. 4 Snow White and ends five columns later with No.80 Blackish Brown. In between is a rainbow of shades, such as Asparagus Green, Berlin Blue and Chocolate Red – it’s a bag that goes with everything!
