Velociraptor Mongoliensis Medal

Star of stage (Museum) and screen (Jurassic Park), is the one and only Velociraptor mongoliensis.

This turkey-sized, feathered predator is known for its fearsome curved claw, which you can spot on the gold-coloured medal. On one side, above the engraved skeleton, are the years the small theropod lived, 84–72 million years ago. Switch to the other side to see a painted depiction of the dinosaur in the grass, framed by an orange sun and the words ‘Natural History Museum London’.

The medal comes in a protective Perspex case.
