Plesiosaur Skeleton Fidget Toy

This tactile blue and purple plesiosaur model would have been perfectly camouflaged in the mysterious depths of the Jurassic and Cretaceous seas.

Plesiosaurs were marine reptiles with strong tails and four flippers, shaped like wings, that powered them through the water. They also had small skulls and sharp, interlocking teeth. Staggeringly, Elasmosaurus had a neck that measured more than seven metres in length, possibly helping it to sneak up on its prey.

These impressive features have been recreated by 3D printing onto a biodegradable bioplastic called PLA, which is made from corn starch.
