Many things were forming in the Silurian Period of 422–442 million years ago. One of them being this striking, pink hornblende-biotite rock, known as park granite.
This display piece, found in Nairn, Scotland, is one of 30 taken from a larger slice, which was expertly sourced for use in the Evolution Timeline wall in our gardens.
