Christmas decorations have evolved wonderfully haven’t they? This delicate little one is a glass version of Charles Darwin’s groundbreaking book On the Origin of Species and has been painted by hand in gold and green.

Originally published in 1859, the printed edition describes Charles’s ideas for how species adapted, known as the theory of evolution by natural selection.
