Between 411 and 419 million years ago in what is now Brecon, Wales, this beautiful slice of dark-ginger coloured, fine-to-medium grained red sandstone formed.
A large chunk of it was expertly sourced to create part of the Evolution Timeline wall in our gardens, which are free to visit. Or why not enjoy your own piece of Devonian Period history with this stunning specimen.
