Jurassic Oceans: Monsters of the Deep

Jurassic oceans were home to some of the largest, fiercest and most successful predators ever to exist – many of which you can discover in our exhibition.

This accompanying book is illustrated with striking photography of some of the most remarkable specimens from our Museum. It delves into the world of carnivorous pliosaurs, streamlined ichthyosaurs and the monstrous mosasaur – the ‘T. rex of the deep’ – as well as enduring predators such as sharks, which survived multiple catastrophic extinction events to become today’s apex ocean predators.
