Description / Golden Horseshoe Crab Tote Bag: Wildlife Photographer of the Year 59

Make an entrance wherever you wander with this tote’s distinctive design. Both sides of the organic cotton book bag feature an incredible image of a tri-spine horseshoe crab, so incredible in fact that it helped Laurent Ballesta win the Adult Grand Title award for Wildlife Photographer of the Year 59.

Marine biologist Laurent was exploring the protected waters of Pangatalan Island in the Philippines when he came across the tri-spine horseshoe crab moving slowly across the mud. Underneath its golden protective carapace hides 12 appendages, while above a trio of juvenile golden trevallies are poised to dart down for edible morsels ploughed up by its passage.

Made from organic cotton with black handles, the tote’s other side is an extension of the pattern inspired by this under water image.
