Freshwater Colour Jigsaw Puzzle: Wildlife Photographer of the Year 62

If you know a puzzler who enjoys a challenge, then try them on this busy, underwater world of fish, rocks and shafts of light.

The image was taken by Isaac Szabo while snorkelling in Virginia, USA and focuses on a nest of stones built by a male bluehead chub. These nurseries also attract females from many species seeking a safe spawning site, sometimes drawing hundreds of fish. By sharing his nest, the bluehead increases the odds that his own offspring will survive if predators strike.
