Diplodocus Carnegii Medal

Kick-off your souvenir medal collection with a prehistoric giant and much-loved member of our Museum family.

On one side of the gold-coloured medal is an engraving of Diplodocus carnegii, which might remind you of Dippy the replica skeleton we use to have on display. Above it are the years this sauropod species lived, 155–145 million years ago.

Turn it over to see a painted depiction of the dinosaur surrounded by trees and a red-hot sky, all framed by the words ‘Natural History Museum London’.

The medal comes in a protective Perspex case.
