Charles Darwin World Tour Tote Bag

This handy, reusable shopping bag is made from organic cotton, farmed in a way that supports soil health, water efficiency and biodiversity – hopefully Charles Darwin would approve!

On one side of the navy-blue tote is an illustration inspired by ‘The March of Progress’. It’s of six figures increasing in size and development from an ape-like animal to a modern human being – in this case, one with Darwin’s white beard.

Listed on the other side are the dates and locations that Darwin visited during his global voyage onboard HMS Beagle between 1831–1836. It was during these years that he developed his theory of evolution through natural selection, which is at the heart of his book On the Origin of Species.
