Description / Rovers Pin Badge Set

Add a touch of curiosity, incidentally the name of another rover, to your clothing with this set of three enamel pins. Each badge features the most recognisable part of one of three robotic explorers built to roam Mars.

NASA’s Perseverance Rover landed on the red planet in February 2021 with the objective to find signs of ancient life and gather rock samples for later collection.

The T-shaped ‘head’ of the Rosalind Franklin rover will come in very useful for anticipating Mars’s tricky terrain when it lands there in 2028 as part of the European Space Agency’s ExoMars programme.

The first rover that NASA landed on Mars was Sojourner, which arrived on 4 July 1997 and successfully achieved its mission of analysing rocks, relaying images and taking atmospheric measurements. Its other mission, to engage the public via a naming contest, was also achieved when school students voted for Sojourner Truth, the African American abolitionist and women’s rights activist.
