Rosalind Franklin Rover Tote Bag

Add a touch of girl power to your shopping bag with this stylish black tote. One side features an illustration of the Rosalind Franklin rover, named by the European Space Agency in honour of the British chemist.

As part of the ExoMars programme, the rover is due to land on Mars in 2028. It will then roam the surface – up to 100 metres per Martian day – and drill down to collect samples before analysing them in its onboard lab. The hope is that any well-preserved organic material discovered might help us understand the planet’s early history and whether life ever existed there.

The tote’s reverse side is plain and it’s all made from organic cotton produced by farmers transitioning to organic practices, but who have yet to receive organic certification.
