Puzzlers of all ages will enjoy piecing together this colourful, under water scene of fish, including saffron shiners and redbelly dace, visiting a male river chub’s nest as he tries to build it.

While lying in a West Virginian stream, photographer Issac Szabo brilliantly captured the behaviour of male chubs who carry rocks and pebbles up to 10 metres to form a mound among which eggs can be laid, sheltered from currents and predators. Other fish species also take advantage of the nest for similar reasons.
