Description / Perseverance Rover Key Ring

If you’ve lost your keys, you’ll wish you had your own robotic explorer to help you find them! The key ring’s metal tag design features the ‘head’ of the Perseverance rover, which was launched by NASA on 30 July 2020 to roam the Martian surface.

Landing in the Jezero Crater on 18 February 2021, Perseverance’s mission is to search for signs of ancient microbial life and gather ground samples that will be returned to Earth in future missions. As of October 2024, this plucky robot has covered 30 kilometres and collected 24 rock and soil samples.

The reverse side of the key ring has our Museum logo engraved in it.
