Description / Blue Streak Wall Print

Blue Streak © Tinnapat Netcharussaeng (2025). Wildlife Photographer of the Year is owned by the Natural History Museum, London.

15–17 Years, Highly Commended 2025

Tinnapat had spent years planning an expedition to photograph his favourite shark. After many days failing to see one, his patience paid off and he swam alongside this blue shark, watching it move effortlessly through the water.

Blue sharks are among the most heavily fished sharks, with an estimated 20 million individuals caught globally each year, often as bycatch. They travel huge distances in their migrations, covering about 9,200 kilometres (5,700 miles) annually.
