A quick guide
Buying tickets through the Natural History Museum’s online ticketing service is secure and convenient.
How to book
First, choose the event or exhibition that you’d like to attend. Select the date and time that you would like to visit (Museum Members can visit at any time without the need to purchase a ticket). Only times when tickets are available will be displayed. You can book tickets up to 1 day before the day you want to visit.
Next, choose the type and number of tickets you need, add them to your basket and make your payment with your selected payment card. Tickets for the Darwin Centre Cocoon are free.
Your e-ticket voucher
An email will be sent to you to confirm your purchase. This will contain a link that you need to follow to view and print your e-ticket voucher. Alternatively tickets can be viewed and printed at any time by logging on to the online shop and selecting My account.
When you attend the event you’ve booked, you need to present your e-ticket voucher (or just the ticket number) together with the payment card used to purchase them to the staff at the door.
Save paper
Instead of printing your e-ticket voucher, you can save paper by noting down your ticket number and bringing it with you when you visit the Museum. Please note, the ticket number is different to your order number. Your ticket number is found near the barcode on your ticket voucher and begins with a letter.
Please note, tickets are delivered in electronic format only. No paper tickets are delivered by post.
Museum Members can visit exhibitions at any time without purchasing a ticket. Members also receive 10 guest passes for family and friends each year.
