Put one of your geodes in the special bag provided. Find a hard surface like a concrete floor or patio.

Ask an adult to help you carefully crack it with a hammer or similar hard object.

Be careful: you just want to crack the geode in two, not shatter it.

Now you’re a geologist!

Take out the broken pieces and study them using the magnifying glass provided in the kit.
