The brooch has a metal backing with straight pin closure. Each brooch is made by hand in Brazil by women working in cooperatives under fair trade conditions.

Workers achieve a fair living wage for the products and they also receive donations of computers, furniture, educational training and a percentage of sales from Escama Studio, who supply the brooches to us.
