Jute is a natural vegetable fibre made from cellulose and is totally biodegradable. When discarded, jute decomposes putting valuable nutrients back into the soil. When the jute stem is harvested a major portion of the root remains within the soil, which eventually decomposes. This process of biodegradation enriches the soil, providing natural manure for other crops. Size 42.5 x 38 x 14cm.
